چکیده

This study investigated how salicylic acid (SA) mediates the response of melon (Cucumis melo) seeds to salt stress using physiological and transcriptomic methods. The effects SA on antioxidant enzymes, osmoregulatory substances, transcriptome under were sodium chloride (NaCl, 100 mmol·L−1) as stimulant + NaCl (0.25 mmol·L−1 alleviation treatment. results showed that positively influences tolerance by increasing activity superoxide dismutase (SOD) catalase (CAT) while decreasing proline content (Pro). Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) identified data analysis, which 2958 up-regulated, 2157 down-regulated. These mainly involved in mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway plant hormone signal transduction, lipid metabolism (linoleic α-linolenic fatty metabolism), biosynthesis secondary metabolites (phenylpropanoid flavonoid biosynthesis), related pathways. Further analysis revealed might alleviate initiating a series pathways stress, participating lignin improve cell wall stability, regulating lipoxygenase (LOX) genes. provide valuable information new strategies for future resistance cultivation high yield.

Extended abstract Introduction: Using of plant growth regulators is one of the methods can improve plant growth against environmental stresses such as salinity. Salicylic acid plays an important role in physiological processes regulation, including germination. Today, using of growth promoting bacteria has been increased and it causes to raise the seed vigor, uniformity, germination percentage...

Seed germination of dill (Anethum graveolens L.) in response to salicylic acid and halopriming under cadmium stress.

Seed priming is a technique which is potentially able to promote rapid and more uniform seed germination and plant growth as well. In this regards, the presowing effects of seed priming treatments were investigated on some physiological viz. seed germination, germination rate, radicle elongation, shoot elongation, radicle dry weight, shoot dry weight and vigor index. Seeds were subjected to two...

Effects of priming with salicylic acid on germination traits of Dracocephalum moldavica L. under salinity stress

In order to evaluate the effects of seed priming with salicylic acid (SA) (0, 2, 10, and 20 mM) to increase salt tolerance (0, 50, 100, 150, and 200 mM NaCl) in medicinal plant Dracocephalum moldavica at seed germination, an experiment was conducted as factorial in a completely randomized design with four replicates. The assessed parameters included germination percentage and rate, len...

Gibberlic Acid and Salicylic Acid Effects on Seed Germination and Seedlings Growth of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Under Salt Stress Condition

Seedlings establishment at early growth stages of crop plants is severely affected by soil salinity. Therefore, high germination rate and vigorous early growth under salty soils is preferred. In this study germination and seedling growth of a wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivar was assessed using three replicates of 50 seeds in a factorial laid out in two separate experiments as Completely Ra...
